Jason VanDenBrink

Jason VanDenBrink DVM, CVSMT

Dr. Jason VanDenBrink is a lifelong resident of West Michigan, growing up in Fennville where he graduated High School in 2001. He worked summers and weekends at the Allegan Animal Clinic while attending Michigan State University for college and vet school. He is a 2009 graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and is still an avid Spartan fan. That spring he started as an associate at Allegan Animal Clinic. In 2014 Dr. VanDenBrink decided to purchase the clinic and pursue his passion to help animals. In 2009, Dr. Jason VanDenBrink married Dr. Rachel VanDenBrink who is a family practitioner at the Allegan Medical Clinic. In his spare time, Dr. VanDenBrink enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs and collects antique tractors and vintage root beer items.

Rachel Mullins

Rachel Mullins DVM, CVA

Dr. Rachel Mullins grew up in Southeast Michigan and attended Michigan State University, where she earned her BS in Zoology in 2006 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She has worked as a small animal veterinarian in Southwest Michigan since graduating and joined Allegan Animal Clinic in June 2020. Dr. Mullins currently lives with her three cats (George, Rex, and Bella) and enjoys gardening, yoga, and reading Stephen King in her spare time.

Kimberly

Practice Manager

Kim was born and raised in West Michigan. She spent the first part of her career working in human medicine before taking some time off and rejoining the workforce in veterinary medicine. She has attended both Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Western Michigan University. Kim started at AAC as an Assistant/Receptionist in the fall of 2020 and was promoted to Practice Manager in August 2021. She lives on a lake in Gobles with her husband and daughter. When she’s not busy making sure things are running smoothly at the Clinic, she enjoys hunting, fishing, Jeeping, movies, reading, writing, traveling, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, as well as helping her husband convert their 40 acres into a hobby farm. Her kids and grandson are what bring her the most joy in life. Besides her human family, Kim is a dog mom to Gunner (a Chocolate Lab) and Cap (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) who she adopted from a local rescue.

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Bridget is a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She has had a love for animals since she was a little girl. Bridget has been in the veterinary field since 2013 and has been with AAC since 2017. She has a daughter named Layla, a super cute Bulldog named Wrigley, and an adorable Pitbull named Sisu. During her free time, Bridget enjoys watching movies, reading, and spending time with her family

Mariah

Mariah

Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Mariah is originally from Virginia but decided to move to Michigan in 2017. She joined the AAC team in March of 2019. She recently tied the knot in September of 2020. Mariah and her husband have 2 German Shorthaired Pointers named Earl and Gauge. Mariah has that southern hospitality so naturally calls everyone hunny, dear, ma’am, or all the above. You can take the girl out of the South, but you can’t take the South out of the girl.

Receptionist

Amanda is new to Allegan Animal Clinic, starting in the fall of 2021, but has worked in Allegan in the past. She missed the area’s clientele and decided to come back. She has experience as a veterinary receptionist and assistant and loves all the fur babies. She has volunteered at John Ball Zoo and adored working with the opossums. In the past, she also volunteered for a breeding and training facility where she developed her love for the German Shepherd. She has a house full of animals with fins, feathers, and fur. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 6-year-old “mini-me”, grilling, crafting, and not working.

Veterinary Technician

Allie comes to us from a small town in Indiana. She moved to Michigan in March of 2021, and she and her boyfriend are currently renovating their old farmhouse. Allie started as a receptionist at AAC just 3 days after her big move. She was promoted to a Technician in July of that same year. She graduated from the Vet Tech Program at International Business College in 2019. She has always had a love for

animals and has been trying to bring baby kittens into the house since she was a young girl. Allie enjoys watching Netflix, hanging out with her friends/family, and going hiking. Allie has a dog named Stevie Jo, 2 cats, Milo and Willow, as well as her 3 fish Cleo, Bonnie, and Sampson.

Veterinary Technician

Kate has been with Allegan Animal Clinic since July of 2021. She has had a love for animals since childhood and a passion for advocating for them. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. She has been involved in the animal field for many years, beginning with volunteering at an animal shelter in high school. Kate has lived in Allegan for 3 years now with her husband, two dogs, and a cat. Outside of animals, Kate loves to listen to music and be outside; whether working on her flower garden, fishing, or just enjoying the seasons in Michigan.

Stacey

Stacey

Veterinary Assistant

Stacey has been a part of AAC since September of 2001. She is the head of surgery for the clinic. So, you may not recognize Stacey but your pets have met her if they’ve had any type of surgery done at AAC. Stacey grew up in Wayland, Michigan, then moved to Gobles after marrying her husband Ryan, in 2006. They have two boys, Paden and Weston. Stacey and Ryan both work hard to keep their little hobby farm looking nice and presentable. In her free time, Stacey enjoys landscaping, antiques, and riding her horses and motorcycle.

Meghan

Veterinary Assistant

Meghan joined Allegan Animal Clinic in June of 2020. She has always had a love for animals, especially reptiles and exotics. She graduated from Ross Medical Education Center in 2013 as an approved veterinary assistant. Since then she has worked with shelters and vet clinics as a kennel aid and assistant. Meghan enjoys spending time with her two kids (Taylor and Brayden) which usually includes zoo trips and museum visits whenever possible. She also has four spoiled pit bulls (Thor, Beyla, Spunk, and Brutus) and a ball python (Zeus). She enjoys reading and spending time outside

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Kris has been a part of the AAC team since March of 2019. She has always had a deep love for animals and a desire to work in the veterinary field. She started her journey with AAC as a volunteer in the fall of her senior year in high school. After a few months of work, she was officially hired as a full-time assistant. Kris grew up on a small family farm in Martin and spent many of her teen years working on a small horse ranch in Oshtemo. She currently lives in Plainwell with her beloved German Shepherd, Max. When not at work, Kris enjoys horseback riding, camping, family game nights, and watching movies with Max. She loves being able to work with animals every day and has also enjoyed working as a part-time receptionist on occasion. Kris is grateful for her position at Allegan Animal Clinic and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
