Radiology Options in Allegan, MI

When it comes to accurately diagnosing and treating your pet after he or she has experienced an injury or illness, you can count on the veterinary team at Allegan Animal Clinic to have the latest diagnostic equipment, including digital imaging devices.

Call us today to schedule an appointment to discuss if you think your pet may need radiographs.

Radiographs

The common term for a radiograph is an x-ray. These images can help diagnose problems and conditions with the bones and joints, such as broken bones, swelling in the joints, and other types of bone abnormalities. X-rays can also be used to diagnose problems with the internal organs, like the heart, lungs, spleen, liver, and kidneys.

Ailment or Injury Diagnosis for Your Pet

Many pet owners choose in-office pet euthanasia. However, they still want their pets to be comfortable for the journey and to help reduce pet anxiety, and Allegan Animal Clinic can help you make your pet’s final car ride more comfortable by providing you with a sedative that you can give to your pet prior to arriving at our veterinary office.

Once you arrive in our office, you will have the option of choosing how involved you wish to be in your pet’s final moments. If you wish to stay with your beloved animal throughout their final moments, our team will escort you to a private room where you can say your goodbyes and hold your pet while he or she passes.

During the procedure, your veterinarian may elect to give your pet a sedative to help them relax before their final injection. Once your pet has passed, you will have the option to take them back home with you, or we partner with a cremation company that offers ashes and pawprints.

For questions about pet euthanasia or to schedule an appointment with Allegan Animal Clinic, call us at today. We’d be happy to make this difficult process a little easier for your family.

"I really can't thank Dr. VanDenBrink enough for taking my early morning call yesterday and meeting me at the clinic before it opened. His quick assignment determined that my Toy Poodle needed a C-section, which was promptly performed. He was very thorough and wouldn't let me leave before Mama and babies were doing well enough to make the both of us comfortable."
