Radiology Options in Allegan, MI

When it comes to accurately diagnosing and treating your pet after he or she has experienced an injury or illness, you can count on the veterinary team at Allegan Animal Clinic to have the latest diagnostic equipment, including digital imaging devices.

Call us today to schedule an appointment to discuss if you think your pet may need radiographs.

Radiographs

The common term for a radiograph is an x-ray. These images can help diagnose problems and conditions with the bones and joints, such as broken bones, swelling in the joints, and other types of bone abnormalities. X-rays can also be used to evaluate respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract and foreign material.

When is X-ray appropriate?

We always recommend an X-ray whenever your pet has had a traumatic experience, or to diagnose diseases that we can not see from the outside.  We are equipped to run multiple different test when it comes to taking a radiograph.

We do offer sedation for some of those more anxious or injured pets.

Once the doctor reads the radiograph they will discus the next steps to helping  your pet. Weather it is referring you to another hospital or in house treatment we are here to give the best care possible.

"I really can't thank Dr. VanDenBrink enough for taking my early morning call yesterday and meeting me at the clinic before it opened. His quick assignment determined that my Toy Poodle needed a C-section, which was promptly performed. He was very thorough and wouldn't let me leave before Mama and babies were doing well enough to make the both of us comfortable."
